8th Grade Parent Meeting-SSI
Giddings Middle School will have a meeting for all 8th grade parents on Tuesday, December 8th at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss testing requirements for 8th grade students.
Students must pass both the Reading and Math TAKS tests in order to be promoted to the 9th grade and there have been changes to the state testing program this year that will make it more difficult for 8th graders to pass. It is very important that all parents plan to attend.
GMS Super Buffs
Super Buffs are Giddings Middle School students that exhibit excellent classroom performance, as well as an outstanding attitude and behavior throughout the school day. GMS teachers will select ten Super Buffs from each grade level during the second through fifth six weeks. Super Buffs will receive a pass to go to lunch first each day, a Super Buffs T-shirt, and will attend a Super Buffs Field Trip later in the school year.
Congratulations to the GMS Super Buffs for the third six weeks!
